Professional Biography

Linsey Cushing was born in Charleston, West Virginia on November 19, 1985.  She continued to live in Charleson throughout her childhood with her parents, Cindy and Kevin, and younger brother, Scott.  She attended George Washington High School and graduated in 2004 with Highest Honors.

Linsey is currently a senior in the Communication Disorders Department at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.  After graduating, she plans on going to graduate school and obtaining her Master’s of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology.  She is interested in working with the pediatric population and hopes to eventually focus on developmental disorders, the Birth to Three program, or articulation and phonological disorders.  Linsey is the secretary of Marshall University’s chapter of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA).

When she is not busy with school, Linsey enjoys teaching dance at Libby’s Dance Connection in South Charleston, West Virginia, to pupils ranging from three-year-olds to adults.  She also enjoys dancing herself, especially jazz and tap.  Other hobbies include spending time with her friends and family, shopping, reading, and going to the beach.
